Q: When does the playoff season of CES Picks start?
A: CES Picks Playoffs begins on January 6th and will go through February 8th. Once eligible NFL teams are selected for each playoff round, CES Playoffs Picks players will be able to submit their picks at the start of each postseason week.
Picks must be selected and locked in no later than 5 minutes before kickoff of each game, but you can change your picks as many times as you want before then.
The NFL Playoffs include four rounds:
Wild Card Round: 6 games (January 10/11/12)
Divisional Round: 4 games (January 17/18)
Conference Round: 2 games (January 25)
Final round: 1 game (February 8)
Q: How can I win the playoffs?
A: The playoff leaderboard is determined by your playoff points, and possibly by your tie breaker score. Each week, select a team to win for each game on the schedule.
Picks Playoffs Points: For every game that you select the winner, you’ll receive one point. If you select the losing team, no CES Picks Playoffs Points are awarded. Picks Playoff Points will accumulate throughout the postseason. There will only be one winner at the end of the NFL postseason, there will not be weekly winners following each round.
Tiebreaker – Guess the correct tiebreaking score, which is the total amount of points scored in the Super Bowl (i.e., if the final score is 12-10, then the tiebreaker would be 22).
If you tie with others for the number of Picks Playoffs Points, the winner will be chosen based on whoever has the closest tiebreaking score (by guessing how many total points will be scored in the Super Bowl LX). The winner receives the CES Picks Playoffs prize!
